1. Safety & Inclusivity

At Milton Keynes Homebrewers, our aim is to provide an environment where everyone feels safe, welcome, and able to participate — whether you’re an experienced brewer or just starting out.

2. Brewing Safety

We encourage all members to explore and experiment with the craft of home brewing. However, the safety, health, and wellbeing of our members and guests is always our top priority.

Anyone knowingly exposing other members to brewing practices not generally recognised as safe will be asked to leave club events. This includes anyone stating an intent to do so, whether serious or in jest. We cannot and will not compromise on safety.

If you are ever unsure whether a brewing process or ingredient is safe, please speak to one of our experienced members or consult a reputable source before proceeding.

3. Responsible Drinking

Home brewing is a fantastic hobby, but we take the responsible consumption of alcohol seriously. We encourage all members to drink responsibly and to look out for one another.

Anyone who appears to be in a state that could put themselves or others at risk may be asked to stop drinking for the remainder of an event.

If you or someone you know is struggling with alcohol use, help and support is available from the NHS: NHS Alcohol Support

4. Diversity & Inclusion

Milton Keynes Homebrewers welcomes everyone. We are committed to creating a friendly and inclusive club regardless of age, disability, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or social background.

We will not tolerate discrimination, harassment, bullying, or victimisation in any form. If you experience or witness behaviour that does not meet this standard, please report it to any committee member. All reports will be taken seriously and acted upon.

5. Our Commitment

We want every member to feel heard and valued. If you have concerns about any aspect of club safety or inclusivity, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re always looking to improve.
