About Milton Keynes Homebrewers
We are a group of passionate homebrewers based in and around the Milton Keynes area, united by a shared love of the craft of brewing. Whether you're an experienced all-grain brewer or just getting started with your first kit, you'll find a warm welcome here. Our members brew beer, cider, mead, and everything in between.
Where We Meet
Our home is the Blackened Sun Brewery, where we hold bi-monthly club meets on Thursday evenings. Each meeting is a chance to enjoy the brewery's tap room, share our own latest creations, and pick up honest feedback from fellow brewers. There's no better way to improve your brewing than tasting alongside people who genuinely care about the craft.
Competitions
Twice a year we hold a club competition, and the standard is always impressively high. Brews are judged against a themed category — our autumn 2026 theme is Adjunct Beers — with prizes awarded to the winners. It's a great motivation to push your brewing a little further trying out styles you might not have brewed otherwise, and a fantastic way to discover what your fellow members have been up to in their garages and kitchens.
Social Activities
Beyond the regular meets, we organise a variety of socials throughout the year — some planned well in advance, others are more spontaneous. We visit local pubs and craft breweries, attend beer festivals, and venture nationally and even internationally in pursuit of great beer and good company.
